Gatroguard...

Horse has shown signs tonight of her ulcers flaring up - shes fine now after having a nice tube of gastroguard shoved down her neck....

question is;
Over the weekend (until i can get back to her referal vets monday), would you give her a tube a day??? or half??

She can have whatever she needs but i dont want to over do it?? however neither do i want her to suffer!

Im also working to make matters worse - she will obviously be brought in and checked but still.....

thoughts please?

i would give her the full tube as that is what my boy would get when his ulcers flared up

Thank you for the reply will give her a full tube this morning and tomorow morning too. As I'm working today and tomorow I won't see her until 10pm (she is checked tho but most people would miss her signs)

It depends on how big your horse is. It is a bit like wormers, my horse only had half a tube when she was originally being treated, and it was reduced over time.
