I am a barefooter of nearly two decades and enjoy seeing the posts of track liveries and pinching some ideas for my own place. I don’t think they’re for every horse/owner, though I can see they would be a lifesaver for metabolic and massively overweight horses. I compromise with an in/out barn system with free access to grass and forage.

I follow GTL but there seems to be quite a lot of explosive, instant reaction to what other people say about their approach. At times like these, I think the phrase ‘what other people think of me is none of my business’ is quite helpful. If you’re confident in what you’re doing, then let other people tread their track and you tread yours. ‘Scuse the pun! I hope everyone involved there is okay and has help with finding better ways of coping in the future. Horses are hard, the internet is hard, the two combined are seriously tough.

I was put off GTL a couple of years back with the ranty posts 'my way is the right way' so to speak. I've seen people behave like that before in 'rescue' or 'fixing ponies' environments and it seems to be a smoke screen for things not being quite right behind the scenes. So I haven't followed them for a while.

That been said I like the idea of a track for lami ponies. But the tiny hole nets are no for me.

I wonder the context of the ponies PTS. stress induced colic? field accident in new environment, lami pony who pedal bone rotated or worse? It really depends on the reason for the PTS to be able to take a view on whether GTL is rightly or wrongly being blamed. the ranting post and then taking down the page looks awfully like they could possibly be at fault. (IMHO obviously) I'll watch with interest as the story unfolds.

Did anyone see Beth’s Facebook live tonight. Something very sad going on there today. Can’t work it out.
Hey, thank you for your concern about me, I’m working through some issues and work related stress.

Yes I should never of publicly wrote of my problems on my page but I was upset and very hurt.

I’d like to assure everyone that we are very much a professional equine enterprise here but at the end of the day I’m still only humans.

I’m trying to heal from the online abuse and lies.

Please may I ask if you’d kindly delete this thread? It’s hard to read opinions from others regarding myself at this moment in time as I’m quite fragile.

Thank you again for asking about me xx

We are not a smoke screen for anything, the horses here are cared for like my own.

The horse in question wasn’t even here when it was PTS.

Please please I’m kindly asking that this discussion about me come to an end as it’s seriously effecting my mental well being in a very serious way.
