GCT - who's watching?

Is it Andy Austin commentating with Mike Tucker? Wish he'd stop going on about "the little ladies on their little horses" he's an arse :D

So lovely to see the Olympic park being used again . . . great images of the city itself . . . do we know if this event will be back to London?

Hope so but there were issues over location - they wanted it in Kensington Gardens at first before the Olympic Park, sorry, Queen Elizabeth Country Park was decided on.

I was recording it but due to sudden change of plan have just started watching. It seems to be catching out a lot of top riders... pleased and surprised to see BBC giving this 2 whole hours!

So brilliant to see s/j on the BBC. So sad to see so many empty seats in the arena, though. I looked at buying tickets but they were horrifically expensive. I thought the GCT coming to central London was supposed to be this opportunity to capitalise on the success of the Olympics and bring horse sport back into central London and a broader audience. What a wasted opportunity - they priced themselves out of an audience!

Commentator's curse for Peter Charles and Team Murka . . . my former farrier will be disappointed for them (he is now farrier for Team Murka). Shame really.

I agree with this . . . however, I wonder if they withheld tickets for sponsors/hospitality?

I hope the empty seats/ridiculously high prices don't deter organizers from having more shows like this in the UK . . . with the right marketing, price points, etc. I believe such an event would be embraced by the public.
