The fact that they released £10 tickets within the local area makes me think they just didn't sell enough at the price rather than hospitality aimed...

But they could have released tickets they had previously held in reserve for sponsors that weren't taken up?

I was there this morning volunteering - it was empty. Looks like it's filled up now, but even those that were there were saying it was expensive! I just hope it comes back and is revised slightly so we can all afford to go! But - worth remembering - most of these type of events need volunteers, you get in free, see some of the action and get a free t-shirt to boot!
 
Laura Kraut and the lovely Cedric . . . well they were game . . . but it didn't pay off, unfortunately . . . lovely little horse though (and, yes, he's grey . . . and short-coupled . . . and with a short neck . . . )

If the marketing had been better, I'd have volunteered . . . they really needed to market it and recruit volunteers like they did for the Olympics . . .
