GCT - who's watching?

Sorry I don't know how to quote - but to the lady who said about volunteering, this is exactly the feedback we gave this morning - I was only there because a friend of a friend tagged me on FB. I only volunteered yesterday evening.

They said they were "desperate" for volunteers - so, a post on H&H (forum or via FB), posts on the various post-2012 groups would have given them all the volunteers they needed - we were in the grandstand, full view of this mornings class, expenses were paid (transport and lunch) and they gave us a t-shirt. They also said we could watch the main class this afternoon if we wanted to. So, as gigs go, it was a good one!

I guess it's all a learning curve, hopefully there will be a return it next year and things like this will be rectified.

If anyone is interesed in horsey volunteering then search "hoofride" - lots of info on how to get involved and get back on board if you've not got a horse.

I volunteered there today and at the games last year. Organisation today was dreadful. And the issues with ticketing....atrocious

It was a bit of a shock after 2012 that's for sure! In the block we were in half of the seats didn't exist.....and it just all seemed a bit....er....random? There wasn't much enthusiasm from some (organiser) type people either.

I was a bit shocked that we weren't even ID'd when we went in?

Tractor wonder if I saw you....I was in the west stand.

As a volunteer today I was quite embarrassed by the shambles it was to be honest

I was in West too - at the far end nearest the VIP bit - I had a blue fleece on, my friend had a purple coat on.

I wasn't proud to be a volunteer today - but the whole event felt like that, the jumping was brilliant, the arena looked great - but the rest was all bit wonky!
