Hi,

Usually a lurker rather than a poster but NOT a troll, honest :-)
Looking for some info on these dealers, now I know you're not allowed to post but would be grateful if anyone has had any dealings good/bad or indifferent to pm me ...

Thanks !

No personal experience

If you google the dealer by name you will get some info

Only comment-- the dealers in that area are connected and horses may appear advertised in more than one yard

If you like a horse do get it vetted by vet of your choice and bloods taken
That advice should apply wherever you buy a riding/driving horse

Ummm. I would not recommend from my own personal experience. I went to visit these when I was looking. The mare I went to see that was advertised on the net I did not even get on. The groom rode her round and she just looked really wrong behind. In fact someone else came to see her whilst I was still there, and really liked her, but I could not believe they could not see that she moved incorrectly behind - but they were quite novicy, riding in ugg boots and jeans.......
I then fell in love with an Irish draft mare, jumped fabulously, lovely to ride. I asked how she was in traffic and out hacking, and he could not tell me as she had not been in long, but 'all our horses are safe'. We really liked her, although she did have some scars as though she had gone through barbed wire all over her chest at some point, but not being too much into showing did not bother us, but we decided against her as she was supposedly 7, and her passport said this, but it had only been issued a few months before this and no other history?? I could not take the risk that she may have been stolen at some point in her life, as she was fab to ride but cheap in comparison, so my advice is beware and do your research. I think they probably buy cheap, don't ask too many questions and then turn them around quick, as when I called he never seemed to know what was in.

Can not recommend im afraid. I went to view one there, horse was very thin, although she did say he hadnt been in long, made a point of asking the lad if he had been ridden today, lad said no. He rode horse round, seemed sweet enough wasnt up for huge amounts of money so took a punt on him.
Long story short he was cold backed, very very cold backed, and passport was for a diff horse which we did not realise at the time with not reading german

My horse is from them. took a punt on it. turned out ok... BUT i had to look at 6 horses there before I found one i'd even consider buying!! They showed me stuff with headcollar and rope on in the stable (does it kick or bite I asked - they took it away)... They showed me a "4yo" which they couldnt catch (looked a bit spindly and on further questioning turned out to be 2 and a half).... Saw a nice looking chestnut which was supposed to be 8 (clearly about 15!).... then saw one which stood at the back of the stable and had no interest in anyone (i said no!).... Then i saw the horse I have now. I only noticed five minutes before i left that he cribbed (they didnt mention it!) Turned out he bucked like stink when you mounted (in hindsight the bloke hung on to it tight while i mounted!) and had to be rebroken. He's super nice now but my god was it a mission.

Advice would be if you're not prepared to reschool it or possibly deal with issues then barge and pole spring to mind. If you want a cheap youngster as a gamble then go for it! My boy is very well bred and will jump the moon but could easily have been in a can!!!
