Just had my new Acavallo gel seat saver delivered.
I used to have a gel out which helped my lower back but I got a different saddle that it didn’t fit so sold it. OH has *kindly bought me several pairs of very slippery riding tight and I figured now I have a new saddle I’d get another seat saver, helping me not slide off will be a bonus ?
However I bought the drylex which I thought was just the old gel in equivalent.
The underside is very very sticky gel, so sticky I’m a bit worried to put it on my brand new saddle ? I thought it would be covered.
Anyone use one? Will it mark my saddle?

Yep, it could. I advise against them. For rider back pain I would advise the Invictus half pad under the saddle or the Thinline seat saver. Or a seat that fits your pelvis ;)

It will mark the saddle they are known for it the gel in one's, I have only had gel out because of this reason I personally wouldn't use it, I'm sure there was a thread on here where it had marked someone's saddle quite badly.

I would send it back, pay the extra and get a gel out one. I have the gel in and love it, but my saddle’s seat is damaged and has repair work that makes it uncomfortable without a seat saver, so it’s realistically not an issue for me if it becomes marked.

Yes it will, or it is very likely to. I've used one on two saddles, the first one it didn't mark so I never thought twice about putting it on current, lovely, saddle. The marks have faded to some degree but I still have an a in the middle ?
