Can anyone recommend please? I have an ice pack down the back of my pants following a 180 degree spin out hacking in the woods.
Mountain Biker not his fault it was him skidding to a halt and the squeal of his brakes. Just imagin the clay pigeon mechanism I was that clay pigeon. :(

Love it! I tried a Heather Moffat because I wanted the comfort too after a rather painful unplanned dismount but found it didn't give me any confidence that it would help me stay on if needed. I re homed that and bought the gel out. It is so comfy and really gives me the feeling that if we have any silliness I will stay in the saddle. I have only used it twice so far on a youngster who has a tedancy to spook and then run off in a panicThere have been lots of good reviews recently which is why I bought it.

Sorry forgot to say size wise I got a large. I don't know the saddle size but its prob about 17.5. It fits this saddle well

Oh dear!
The gel out seat savers are incredible, my mare is very sharp and spooky and it definitely helps me stay there when she decides to spin and take off at high speed. Very comfy too. I used the size guide on the horse health website which I found to be accurate x

I have a gel out and find that when my horse spooks I don't move in the saddle at all. If she spooked before I got it I would feel unbalanced just where you cannot help but slide on a smooth surface. I'm very aware that I feel much more secure with the gel out.
I've also had a Heather Moffat seat saver and find the gel out one so much more comfortable.

I love my gel out seat saver, the large fits my 17.5 Barnsby saddle perfectly. I wouldn't say they are lightweight as they are quite thick rubbery material but wouldn't call it heavy.
The only down side is that the honeycomb pattern fills up with water in the rain...but no more than sitting on a soggy wet sheepskin version.

Thank you guys I would rather have a wet seat than the puffy bruised one I have now. Plan is to sleep standing up :(

I should add that I vaguely remember the jods I wore being slippery when I bought them but I forgot.

I have a gel out. Love it loads, so comfy. I have a medium on a 17.5" - probably not conventional but they're stretchy so there's no problem with fit.
