Well it was Sunday but I will post anyway. So was asked to be on our riding club area team and it was an eventer trial so I was quite pleased as my horse is a great SJumper.
We walked the course on Saturday the 1st fence on XC had a huge drop
so slightly worried but the rest walked fine but very up to height.
Left Sunday morning at 7:45 so not too bad and arrived at 9. I handed in passport collected number horsey looking very excited. Got on and he was dead to the leg completely so stuck on spurs and totally different horse
Went in for SJ and he was feeling great he felt on usual form so imagine my surprise when he jumped the 1st perfectly and then refused blatently at the 2nd but then jumped it beautifully[pictured]
then he carried on looking at everything taking a good few Pony Club kicks to get round but he was going well until the last when he slammed on the brakes again although it was quite wide and the ground was very hard which I think had something to do with it
but then we got onto XC which can be abit iffy and sometimes he will put in the odd stop but only over 3'3''XC the first fence with the huge drop was planning on trotting but I couldn't slow him up so he galloped into it and jumped straight into the bottom
but he bombed around the rest of the course and he didnt even stop to play and roll in the water like he usually tries.
wasnt too bad as the team came 5th so
all round
