Gelding weeing on his stomach

I noticed my gelding go for a wee today and he didn't wee properly. His part didnt drop!!! And he weed all over his stomach.

I've got the vet coming tomorrow, but just wondering if anyone had any idea what it could be and if its something to worry about?

Mine does this occasionally and sprays everywhere like a shower head! I grumble at him and tell him he is lazy, but it doesn't ever appear to be anything sinister. At other times he leaves 'it' out for ever and stands there as if waiting for a round of applause

Hope it is the same for your boy and it is just one of those things that horses do to confuse us

Wouldn't hurt to mention it to the vet just in case your poor ned has got his penis stuck inside his sheath somehow. Doubt it though - probably just laziness. I gave my gelding a feed in his field once and he had his face in the bowl as normal when he sort of jiffled his hind feet a bit, braced and had a nice long pee. Front end still eating, back end peeing. Who says males can't multi-task?????
