My gelding came in a few days ago with a cut on the front of the fetlock joint on his off front leg. I treated this cut and it scabbed over nicely however he won’t leave it alone and he keeps pulling the scab off and licking it so it won’t heal. Has anybody go any ideas of how to stop him from pulling off the scab and licking it? ( so far he has licked off the wound cream and purple spray) I’ve tried dressing it but he keeps pulling at the dressing.

This is not normal and I would be getting the vet out. I would worry that something was not right with the wound. You need to be very careful with any wounds, no matter how small if they are near the joint.

The wound may be infected so the scab will come off easily - it will probably be itchy too.

Wash well with salt water and then poultice with activated manuka honey, wrap well, then add a second bandage - soak it with malt vinegar or smear with mustard.
