Gem is home, with photos

So I picked her up this morning, and she loaded first time without a problem!

and have spent all day just sorting her out in her stable and buying new feed etc. for her. She's happy to be home, munching on the mountain of hay in her stable

She has coughed a few times, which made me feel sick every time she did it, so will have to keep an eye on that. Just a few photos, she has put on a bit of weight, they don't really show up how ribby she is in rl, but they do show her rather 'special' clip they had to do for all the ultra sounds

Sorry for the photo overload, I couldn't figure out if this should go in the gallery or here, but I know a lot of people in here have been following her progress, let me know if you'd rather I moved it.

The smile on your face says it all, allthough she has obviously lost weight I am sure with lots of TLC she could easily gain it again. I am so happy for you

I'm thrilled for you- she looks so happy and now she's back home i'm sure she'll put the weight back on easily.

Thanks everyone, she has to go back into the vet college in two weeks for more tests etc. because they still don't know what is wrong with her, and she hasn't really improved in the last two weeks of her being in the vet college, there was just nothing else they could do for her in there at the moment.
I am just so happy to have her home

good luck for the future...... hopefully you will get some answers and a remedy for her

As for the clip..... well post back in a few weeks time and you will be the expert in the 'is it too late to clip' posts!!!

You would have thought they could have done something a bit more creative with the shape though!!!

QR- Awe glad to see she is home safely. She doesnt look too bad at all still got a lovely shine on her coat.

Glad she is on the mend.

Ah, brilliant! I am so happy for you that she is home and in your good care again. I am hoping so much that she mends and all will be well. What a truly horrible time you have had. x

Thanks guys, I'm just off to give her some more hay, so I shall pass on your well wishes. I am tempted to go down in my pjs and dressing gown, I am so comfy lol!

Lots and lots of TLC and she'll soon be right. You'll feel better doing something positive, too. My son (who is very horsey) said,"did someone have their eyes shut when they were clipping that horse?"

I ticked him off, but he did say - or has it had an ultrasound?

(Not meant as a cruel jibe and he is very kind to his ponies.)

I think she looks remarkably cheerful except for the shot where she knows full well you are taking pics of her clip to post on here and it will raise uneducated comments like my lad's. (How could you, Mummy?

He sends some healing <<<<<vibes>>>>> by way of an apology.

I just went down and she is coughing quite a lot, trying to think whether I should ring the vet now, or in the morning

Nawww Gembles is home where she belongs!! She looks loads happier hun - as do you!! Have you had specific feeding instructions or are you feeding her anything she will eat (within reason obviously).

She has specific feeding instructions, but its all pretty simple; pasture mix, horse and pony nuts, chaff and veg oil, which she happily tucked into tonight with her drugs in it
