Mines out 24/7 good grass land old turf and at the moment he gets bailys No5 yearling cubes a scoop a day looking good on it you could split this into 2 feeds if you like but I feed once a day in summer and then up it to twice in the winter .
Why wouldn't you bother? Surely you should be ensuring a youngster is getting all the Vits and mins they possibly can at such a vital stage of life? I would certainly bother! My 2yo gets half a Stubbs scoop of mollichaff calmer and the rda of globalherbs globalvite. I would usually have him on d&h suregrow and graze on but he is on such good grazing he doesn't need it. The chaff is just to put the supplement in. I wouldn't dream of not at the very least making sure my babies had constant access to a mineral lick. If your horse is on good grazing I'd be inclined to stick a lick in there. Rockies 5 star is a very good one.
