Just to save everyone time, here’s some generic free advice;

‘My horse is losing weight’ – check teeth, worm, get vet checked, feed more
‘My horse is naughty to handle’ – check teeth, worm, get vet checked, discipline more
‘My horse misbehaves under saddle’ – check teeth, get vet checked, check saddle and bridle fitting, get a decent instructor
‘I can’t afford vet’s bills’ – sell your horse.
‘My horse is a nutter’ – sell your horse
‘My mare is an evil cow, should I put her in foal as I can’t ride her?’ – no, not unless you want two evil cows

Anyone care to add any?

I sometimes think I'm mean by not worrying! In fact sometimes I have an evil chuckle to myself that my horses are getting peed on!

All questions that begin "Has anyone ever" - there's nothing new under the sun, someone somewhere will definitely have had it / done it / seen it / owned it / got the t-shirt. If it's horse-related on this forum then it will no doubt be one / several / all of the members.

One of my favourites is "well I feel cold today even with 2 fleeces and an anorak, so horsey must also be cold so I'll keep him in and put another rug on, I'd rather be too hot than than too cold". That's without checking to feel just how warm or cold horse is. Er no, horsey isn't human and has a whole different set of priorities. Grrrr!

My advice would be to arrange cover for your horse before booking a holiday and BTW my answer is no !

My hair gets messed up when I ride - didn't you know 'proper' riders don't need to wear hats, so their hair is always perfect...?
