I was looking at buying some clenbuterol for my horse, Spy, a Belgian gelding. I was wondering if the generic clenbuterol that is available through canadian pharmacies is legit? Some is called Respeze gel for pets, respirax paste generic clenbuterol. Some say they are the international equivalent to respimin, but from what I can see respimin is not clenbuterol. Will these have the same effects as ventipulmin? I can't afford ventipulmin and these seem like a much cheaper alternative, that is if they are legitimate. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Here are a couple of the sites I found it on.

It is illegal to import vet meds form abroad that do not have a UK product licence. Clenbuterol os a prescription only drug and you could face a large fine and possibly imprisoment for illegal importation

Also many cheap drugs on the internet have been shown to have little or no active ingredients or are contaminated with for example heavy metals.

Buying prescription drugs on line is DANGEROUS! There is no guarantee of safety, quality, or efficacy as there is with properly licenced drugs.

In the rare event your horse gets a bad reaction or other problem due to the drug pharm companies are usually very helpful to assist investigate and compensate. If you buy something unknown from abroad who is going to help you? Not the company and your vet will be in the dark too - you will be on your own.

Please note that if your horse becomes ill or dies due to use of illegal medicines you will also invalidate your insurance and will receive nothing.

Trying to save a few quid in this way is a false economy - these drugs are prescription only for a reason and need to be treated with respect and used responsibly.
