I've posted before about being convinced that Wiggy is actually a very dark buckskin rather than a dark bay. Most of you disagreed with me (which is fine
) but this summer, I have been even more convinced that he is. He's even lighter than normal and the sandy colour undertones (rather than red/brown) are far more obvious.
I've started to look into genetic colour testing to satisfy my curiosity but having looked at a few websites, it seems I can test for dun but not for buckskin. I know nothing about colour genetics but I'm guessing that what I need to test for is certain dilutions and or factors? Could anyone tell me what I should be requesting (if, indeed, it's possible) please?
I know it doesn't matter but I have the sort of brain where, once I need to know something, I really need to know!
