I have a couple of amazing money saving ideas, that i have come up with i dont mean to sound urm smug but they really make a difference to the bank balance, please add any others that you have come across, i know this has been done before but hey ho!
1. Compost bin - love the idea of a Hay hutch but cannot afford one, use a compost bin! works a treat, and whats even better, you can get them free or dirt cheap from council at this adress http://www.getcomposting.com/. i then secure them using large ground pegs and string though small holes i made in the bottom so the little beasts cannot play footbal with them
2. Heat Lamps - was chatting to our electrician about heat lamps as i want to install them but did not want to pay £160 per lamp, my electriain found me these that are only £70!!! from http://www.qvsdirect.com/Winterheat...ed-Patio-Heater-C-w-Quartz-Lamp-pr-23504.html, exactly the same lamp with the IP54 rating i promise as for the actualy timer switch you can get very similar things for emersion heaters that wil do the job at a fraction of the price!
