If anyone has any previous experience with Genuine Cobs would they so kindly PM me. I would be much appreciated, i'm just doing some background research before possibly approaching them on behalf of a client.

Hi.

I don't think she was working under the 'Genuine Cobs' name, but the location and website look exactly the same as the dealer I bought my boy from.

Pros and cons...

The horse is fab and to be fair, everything she said he would be. He was a bit expensive, but his type goes quickly. Of course, his being fab may just be him

I was slightly less impressed with her - I's expect someone who may be getting a wodge of my cash to be a bit more interested in me...

She had a couple of horse that I wanted to go and see, and I phoned her up and asked a lot of questions, and arranged a time for a friend and I to visit the yard. I called when we were an hour away, and arrived to find gate locked and her out on a hack...on one of the horses she wanted to show me. One of the cobs I particularly wanted to see wasn't at the yard - not impressed. After a bit more chat, I said thanks but no thanks to the one she had already ridden, and asked to see the other coloured she wanted me to see - one I wasn't especially interested in on adverts etc. I was v nervous, but my friend was convinced that the coloured was 'the one', and we wanted to take him down the lane, into the field etc, but she had arranged for someone else to come and view him 30 mins after us... We stayed to watch the other girl ride, and he looked so fab that I out down a deposit there and then!

She was very helpful though in arranging the vetting, including telling me which practice she used (so I could use a different one!), and since I had a holiday booked, even kept him for a week after the vetting for me for a minimal fee.

So...a bit put off that she didn't seem a bit professional when we first went, but transaction went smoothly, and horse is everything she said
