Thank you for some lovely PMs - I was very clear at one stage that I would never post on HHO again but it seems that Colin & George do have quite a few fans so by popular request....

Colin went on his first proper walk at the weekend ? He was very good, he only escaped from his harness once ?? and best of all he was tired afterwards!

Otherwise Colin and Millie have been constantly playing ‘bitey face’ which George finds rather wearing after a while!76AD6F12-6F46-46B1-B252-35E905C1C21B.jpeg

Although today both terrierists have practiced being good work colleagues ?

Lovely to see you back..I thought you were in Scotland on your hols.
Absolutely DONT leave, you contribute a lot and your pics are great.
Interesting to see little Colin’s nose spot has colored in..he’s getting to be a proper little boy now.
I think my favorite pic is the pack on a walk..for so many reasons..he’s so in there with his gang, all walking beautifully,I bet you are really thrilled how well it’s all gone.

However do you manage with all those leads?! I get in an awful muddle with two!

my number one priority when buying a harness is how hard it is to get out of. My JRT would be down the nearest rabbit hole never to be seen again.
Did I miss a drama? Thought you were just busy with the dogs so just goes to show how observant I am ?

I love that too - the pink spot has been getting smaller and smaller until it has finally disappeared! Scotland is next week - yay!!!! - assuming I can get a signal up there I’ll be posting even MORE pics than usual as it will be so stunningly beautiful ❤️ I can’t wait to try and take pictures of the dogs on the beach ?

Ha ha that was my top priority with a harness too - trouble is he is still so tiny that although I made the harness as small as possible it is still a bit big for him? It is fine as long as he is keeping some tension on the lead, unfortunately I missed how he actually escaped from it though!

Just a couple of users being unpleasant when I was feeling particularly low one evening, standard forum stuff - nobody ever stops to consider that you might be feeling a bit rubbish that day when they pile in with their snarky comments.

Be sure to take a autan for the midges..In Italy it’s feeding frenzy time for them.( Mozzies too).
I love Scotland,so beautiful.

re the harness and escaping pup..if you get a tiny piece of string ,attach the String to his harness and then to his collar so if he wiggles out he’s still attached by his collar.
some harnesses come with an optional ” safety strap” in the package, exactly for this scenario.

Thanks BS I will remember that - it was a little bit nerve wracking chasing my tiny puppy through the woods (well, for about 3 or 4 paces!) as he scampered off without a care in the world ?

Oh dear I’d forgotten about the midges.... off to the chemist!!!!

Yay! Thank you for the update. Colin is growing up so fast. I love the pictures of him and George together too, George has obviously accepted he is here to stay.

Re the harness, we have a little webbing strap and clip that link the harness to the collar so if one wriggles out of the harness it's still attached to the collar and aren't running free. Herbie has also recently swapped to a Julius K9 long walk harness and hasn't escaped once, I'm really impressed with it, it's simple to put on and doesn't get twisted on rub.

I know I’ve said it before but I am SO pleased with the way Colin has settled in - of course he does puppy things, I’d worry if he didn’t, but he is so good and well behaved over all!!! The only habit I need to get him out of is early mornings (well, early by my standards! I’m not a morning person....) and then everything will be perfect ?

Yippee Levrier is back!

And the picture of all of them together is so good! And little sleepy Colin! George!
**Squeal!**

Bless you FL, you are truly one of the many people who make HHO fab.....and you totally outweigh the nasty little people who think only of themselves ? Thank you to you - and to many others - for being you, you restore my faith in human goodness ??

You're most welcome, I'm so happy to see you back <3, and that is truly not only because I love seeing your dogs.

There is so many nice people out there, so why is it so much easier for our brains to pay attention to the few not nice ones? If someone develops a pill to change that, I'd probably take it.

Did he scamper off or stay following the pack when he got out?

Love love love the photo of them sharing a bed :D

No he stayed with the pack bless him - they were all on leads for the walk ‘just in case’ so luckily he didn’t have any incentive to belt off into the distance ?

I agree they look gorgeous in the bed together, it does make me smile as well because it’s always a little precarious - George still doesn’t really like the young whipper-snapper so he tells him off all the time! I’m there as a referee ?

I think George just tries to pretend he's grumpy. As I've said before, he's so like our Hector, we're just back from a walk and he stood on a sharp stone and yelped then immediately ran to Herbie and had a grump at him as if it was all Herbie's fault although he was near him at the time! The funniest thing is he often has a grump at Herbie for no reason and Herbie just gives him a kiss which totally takes the wind out of Hector's sails as it's obviously not the response he expects!!

I have to admit I had no idea that George and Colin had quite so many fans ?? I think everyone needs a terrier.... they go extremely well with greyhounds so you could get one of those too? ?

Now you're just trying to lead me astray!

Sadly I suspect this wee baggage would have something to say about sharing her sofa with a greyhound! IMG_20201001_191752~01.jpg

But a terrier would hardly take up any room.... ?

They also go surprisingly well with Rotties and GSD ??? Though it's a bit nerve wracking when they all start play fighting and Lil'dog is seen hanging off a Grot's neck ?.

Lovely lovely lovely to see pictures lass ???

Now I've been getting slightly concerned over the terrier takeover...even your profile pic...I do have to admit Colin is particularly cute though.
But faith has been restored as I just spotted a whole host of familiar long noses on Friday Face.

Did you notice George even got in on the act there too? ? I’m hoping it won’t rain ALL the time in Scotland so I can post lots of lovely pictures of the pointy noses running around having fun ?
