George comes home today

[Gorgeous George]

The vet has phoned this morning to say it is all ok for George to come home this afternoon from the vets.

I am at work at the moment but I can't wait to get off and go and pick him up I just hope he loads ok as his hind legs are probably a bit sore and he currently has no shoes on - will have to take some treats to tempt him

So having go that hurdle out of the way, the next is getting him to settle to box rest I have got some v-calm valerian calmer and the vet says it is safe to use that with a dose of sedalin, I think if we can keep him calm for the first few days he will settle to his routine.............

For now I am just pleased he has come through the op and is coming home

That's great news - I am sure he will settle to his new routine quickly.

Little Eddie, who HATES being in a stable was just brilliant when he had to have 6 weeks box rest, he seemed to know it was for his own good and accepted it with no problems.
