George update

Sorry I haven't done an update sooner

I have just started a new job as a result of a management restructuring and I'm not a happy bunny

Anyway, thank so much for all your kind replies to my post about George and to all the nice pms people have sent

George is only allowed to step out of his stable to be mucked out, but he does appear to be sound and he is putting his full weight on his leg

He has to stay bandaged and on rest and anti b's until next Weds, so fingers crossed that all will be well when the vet returns then.

George seems to be pretty chilled about his box rest and I've been going up each day to groom him and make a fuss and i've been really enjoying just spending time with him

not to mention that he is now shining like a new pin

Will let you know how things go.

Glad he's on the mend.
I had my horse on box rest for a month last year and sad as it may seem, I really enjoyed looking after him and spending more time just being around him. Every cloud has a silver lining! Hope the job improves.

Oh no what has he done? Ive missed your posts glad he is doing well! I bet he is loving the attention when sid was on box rest and even after he was so attached to me I had to sit in the turnout or field with him until he settled! It was nice for me but not normal for him so i stopped marding him! He is a lovely horsey george im sure he will take it all in his stride! xxx

he got into a spat in the field and cut his back fetlock deeply right on the joint

had to be stitched up and has a huge bandage to stop him moving the joint to much as there wasn't much to attach the stitches to, so fingers crossed.
