George was very good today we went to have a go at some dressage, my friend gave me a lift and we did 2 prelim tests. George was a bit goggle eyed as he's not been out for a while :rolleyes: but he warmed up very well and did his tests well. The first was better as he decided to be a bit spooky in the second one.

I then hacked him home as my friend had to go off to work and again George was a very good lad :) bit shocked when he discovered the lorry and his friend has gone, but he seemed to enjoy being out in the lovely sunshine :)

The classes we were in were pretty big (34 in the first, 27 in the last) so I went back later to see how I got on. Got 62% in the second test coming somewhere in the middle of the field which I was pleased with and the judge put 'what an honest horse who tries really hard' :) then the first test we got 64% and came 5th so I was well chuffed with that :) and again a lovely comment from the judge 'a lot to like about this lovely powerful horse' :):)

Sorry this is very self indulgent but we've had a lean spell dressage wise so it's made my day, and happy that I managed the hack home without getting too nervous :D

George is one lucky lad, I dont think Ive ever read a post from you that is anything other than chuffed to bits with him, worried about him or just generally upbeat. It is so lovely to know that, whatever happens, you love him and he seems to respond to that as he always tries for you. Well done on fab results!
