yes have ridden there, very english, horses all in good condition, they have turnout, a school jumps etc, the trekking horses are a variety, they also have a bar/club house area.
the staff i met were all really nice, english, all cared for the horses well.
That is good to hear. I am going to move out there in three years time and I hope to take my horse with me. I will be riding there myself this summer. Can't wait. It looks like everything me and my horse ever dreamed of.
I have ridden there too although it was a long time ago now. I have the same opinion as jhoward - nice staff when i was there and well looked after horses.
It's very well thought of as horsey places in Cyprus go. I haven't been there but their horses and ponies were regulars at the forces saddle club shows in Episkopi. All the kids rode very nicely and their ponies and horses were looking fabulous which is rare in Cyprus.
Not sure I'd want to take a horse out there personally as it's a very harsh environment although alot of the horses at George's ranch were imported from UK. Also it costs £2500 upwards to transport your horse there and it's a tough journey by road and sea for over 10 days. I think someone did it last summer for £5500 but maybe their horse was the only passenger using the UK based transporter. You can fly them but you have to get 3 horses to share the cost and then it's also about £5500. Recommend you fly the horse if you really are going to take it as it's far kinder. I used a greek transporter to take my mare from Cyprus to UK for £2500 but tbh it's cost me alot more in vets bills and heartache and still having problems over a year on.
I really enjoyed the evening and winter riding but mid summer was melt factor and sometimes it was borderline heatstroke for the horses and that's just from being in their pens.
