Georgie Spence Wins unaffiliated combined training !!!!!!!!!

But a huge number of people think she did do something wrong. They are entitled to say so, that is not bullying.

The aggresive insulting posts in her support dont do her any favours or put her in any better light.

People have formed their opinion of her and the support she has is not improving things for her.

god i cant believe that this has got to be 10 pages long!!!!

im not saying i agree or disagree with any of the above comments but the rider in question isnt the 1st rider in ANY field to have done this and wont be the last by any means
and i think its a bit unfair to highlight just her

Two words occur to me about the GS camp:
'Spoiled Madams'
A bit of growing up to be done I think. At the moment they are showing that the majority view is right.

i suggest STRONGLY that everyone ends this post now. I

It has got petty, and you're proving nothing. We obviously have a difference in opinion and this issue will not be resolved.

I keep thinking that everyone must be bored with this now and it must be at an end and then someone posts again.
Is 10 pages a record?

Thats my point she now knows what you all think of her so why dont we just drop it now there isnt a need to go round and round in circles
Her supporters will support her and those against her will be against her, writing another 10 pages about it isnt going to change things so the post should be closed

i have to say i agree with Cyrus. the arguments for and against are clear. i for one feel better for having had a rant and it might (hopefully) make any professionals who might read this think a little more in the future. or it might not...but who cares really! i'm bowing out now....i clearly need to go and school my horse in an attempt to be a much better rider before commenting in future

Who cares - maybe the prize money turns a trip that costs something into a break even.

You can only beat who turns up - and to win you have to beat everyone who turns up. Maybe she wanted to put some pressure on herself but not on the horses - HC is just a schooling round, competing at a low level does put some pressure on.

If she hadn't turned up maybe the 3rd place would have won, maybe they would not have won.

Don't see any issue with pot hunting - have done so myself (not involving horses though..), although the pot hunting wasn't the main aim - I was mostly man hunting, with pot hunting as an excuse to be in the area... Some people like pretty trophies and ribbons, and plastic trohies, and flower vases and T-Shirts, others want glory and self justification - each to their own!

I think that everyone should stop giving Georgie a hard time, horses need a run out and she paid the entry fee the same as everyone else. How else are professional riders going to get their less experienced horses the experience they need to be top class.

Leave Georgie alone and go and moan about something that you actually know what you are talking about.

These horses were neither inexperienced or in need of a run. 85cm jumping is hardly going to produce them to top class level.
We can moan about what we like and clearly are better informed than you.

Whilst I more than understand why peple have been so upset by this happening, this was a one off. She doesnt bring these horses, experienced or not, to compete in classes like this week in, week out. The horse world has been hit by the credit crunch just as hard as anything else, and young professional riders will certainly be feeling the heat in these times, especially those who do ride for/on behalf of an owner. We all rally bahind our britsh horses and riders, and we all feel the blow when our top horses are sold abroad. Here, Georgie is trying to develop the horses experience, all be it at a much lower level than they are capable of compeating, to I assume build their confidence, and all people want to think is that she is out pot hunting. It is riders like Georgie who we will be expecting to bring us home the medals, and win at the big international events - we will be so quick to support her when she does well, yet you are all so quick to instantly judge her for taking her horses to a small show to give them a run and get them out. Regardless of what the horses have done, she will have truely had her reasons for taking the horses, and I dont doubt for a second that she ever wanted to leave people feeling the way they have.

For all of those riders upset that her horses were too good for the classes, as many people have said, what a great opportunity to see how your horses fair against those of a professional. And I guarentee that there have been other professionals who have compeated very qualified horses in shows like this, but because they are perhaps not so well known, they have not been critcised.

As mentioned I can understand why some people have been upset by what happened - but this was at one show - this doesnt happen on a weekly basis. Georgie is one of our best up and coming riders, and I for one would have relished the opportunity to see some potential 4* horses out in action!!

I don't think her cause is helped by the aggressive bitchy comments placed by her so called supporters, none of whom have had a strong counter argument or explanation. I certainly wouldn't want people like that putting my side of the coin.

Most people on here have put their thoughts and comments very eloquently and they have not been personal attacks either just genuine concern at unsportsmanlike behaviour.
