Hello
I've just joined and wondering if there are any other members who grew up with the Sex Pistols and Ginny Leng?!

Hi and Welcome to HHO.I do remember Ginny Leng well but I was too young for the sex pistols to be a fan.Thats not to say I'm a young member as I am in my late 30's.Anyhow tell us more about you.Do you have horses of your own?

Sort of,more 'Barry White' and soul sort of person.....'Sex Pistols' did nothing for me

...but on that note welcome to this forum, you will find some more 'Gerries' on here!

I remember Ginny as Ginny Holgate!! So no you're not alone being one the oldies!! Listen to Sex Pistols now more than I did when I was younger however.

Hi
I have passed the f.... barrier - still can't bring myself to put it in writing!

Have two horses, one older one with physical issues, and a younger one with mental issues!

Oh I do prefer the early night with a drinking chocolate - I can't burn the candle at both ends now. Early mornings are unavoidable with horse and work so its early to bed on 'school nights'!!

Yeah Me!!!!!!!! Sex pistols, Sham 69 (loved Jimmy Pursey). pink mohicans! Ginny Holgate/Leng was my hero!!! Along with Red Rum! I am still a bit of an anarchist!!

Kanter, is that the first f.... barrier or the second one! I'm long past the first one and will reach the second one next year! So more of a Bad Company sort of girl really! Forum is great but my lack of expertise on the technical front can often let me down!

Hi katnter! I'm an old codger myself and I remember Ginny Holgate (as she then was) very well and also the Sex Pistols although I was more of a Clash fan myself.

I wasn't worried about 40 at all, but 50 is a different matter! I have decided to grow old disgracefully and to become completely eccentric which sounds a lot more fun than being a miserable old bat! What about Eddie Macken and Paddy McMahon, the same era I think.

Ah yes! White Man in Hammersmith Palais - how come I can remember lyrics to all those songs form almost thirty years ago but not where I park my car thirty minutes ago!

Lol at kanter! I am just the same. Would you believe I have forgotten where I put my riding hat tonight? I know it was on my head at 6.30 p.m. but its current whereabouts is a complete mystery to me.......

And the good old days of deciding whether to feed your horse on oats and bran, or Spillers Horse & Pony cubes. Adding linssed if it was cold. That was as far as the choice went. Horse had one rug for inside and one for outside, with the addition of an old blanket underneath if chilly. Poncy horses wore bandages when they were being worked, but most wore a saddle and bridle and not much else. I look at my tack/feed room now and wonder how I've managed to gather so much "stuff" and whether too much choice is really a good thing!

FinellaGlen, have you checked to see if it is still on your head. If you have an OH like mine he is so used to me wearing my hat he wouldn't notice if I had it on in the bath!

Oh this takes me back! Hi kanter, yup, I was really into the Sex Pistols, Clash, Sham 69 and Ian Dury etc. I am mid-way between the 2 F's now though! Still leap around to them at times!! Welcome to the forum!

I remember the Palais!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What about the Purley Orchid too?!

The d'Inzeo's, Prince Hal and Tosca, Nizefella, you name them, I remember them - but I can't remember who rang yesterday!

Welcome to the addictive madhouse BTW! Are you from down South?

Tass, just looked in mirror and have definitely removed hat and put it down somewhere. Had to laugh at the thought of you in the bath wearing yours. Must make hair washing a bit of a challenge?!

Oh yippeee...other members 'over 21' lol.
Welcome Kanter

Now, where did I leave my zimmer frame?

Hi Geriatric new member and a warm welcome

Now, I have to say, I remember Ginny BUT I am still only in my mid 30's. The Sex Pistols, well everybody knows them don't they? I was really a rock chick, my OH was in a rock band so I loved all the hard rock stuff, still listen to it now but not as old as the Sex Pistols, more 80's rock

MFH_09 Did the Purley Orchid used to be Cinderella Rockerfella's? I was at Stringfellows the day it opened! FinellaGlen, I find it easier to visit hairdresser once a month to have a blue rinse than chance removing riding hat in the bath and risk an injury! You can't be too careful these days you know!

Lol dozziesmummy - I still have that on vinyl in my loft.... (along with loads of other punk stuff) it was the B side to Something Else by Sid Vicious

And I was a member of the Red Rum fan club in the early 70s

Oh and welcome Kanter - there are plenty of us 'more experienced' posters on here (I'm 43..... sigh....).

Oh dear! Am I too old for this? I was a Beatles fan!
And I had a two weeks coarse at Pennwood years before Forgemill became famous.
