Hi,

Does anyone have any experience with or any advice on German sites or purchases? I am ordering Boots on a site and the sizes in German are: Pony (easy to understand), Vollblut and Warmblut. Google translates these as Whole blood and Warm blood. I am just wondering if I am correct and that Vollblut would be a cob/medium size and Warmblut is a full size? They are HKM and on their site they only offer pony, cob and full. Unfortunately, they don't post to me, not in UK. Not looking for an alternative site as this one has other items I am unable to get anywhere else in my location. Thank you :)

I would imagine it may be standard/full size. A lot of warmblood sizes are bigger than your standard UK full size.

Not entirely related to your question, but do check what the delivered to you price will be as there have been many reports of people being charged double VAT etc. on imports from Europe at the moment and goods being held by the shippers until the additional taxes are paid.

Hi thank you. I am not in the UK so this won't affect me. I use to buy from the UK but having to pay the Vat to the delivery man at the door in a place with no mobile reception, so his card thingy doesn't work and some UK companies haven't removed the vat for me being in EU has made me have to look elsewhere for items unfortunately!!!

Pony = pony
Vollblut = sort of cob but means Thoroughbred (they're smaller here)
Warmblut = full size
Kaltblut = draft

In brushing boots my PRE wears Vollblut on the front and Warmblut on the back, for example. One brands Warmblut could be smaller than another brand. Which happens with things in cob and full from the UK too. You could Google or contact the vendor for an actual measurement/size chart.

Thank you so much. Once they are smaller than a full size it's perfect. For use on a yard with multiple horses so will be on more than one so I'm not stuck if they don't fit one in particular ?
