They may be finally assembled in Germany, but have to be imported leather and manufactured in a place where where labour is cheaper, as you simply couldn't manufacture a decent saddle for that price in the EC

What exactly do you want it for? It would be fine just for breaking in, lunging in etc. but I certainly wouldn't ride in it...

!!!! And pure Dressage!!

Ah right... I don't own one, nor do I know anyone who owns one, but for the price I presume that the quality and craftsmanship of the saddle wouldn't be particularly good hence why I'd stay away from it... Do you mind me asking, what would you be prepared to spend for a new/decent used dressage saddle?

A friend of mine bought a GP version. It was actually ok- if you did not actually touch the leather you would have actually thought it was English leather as the finish was super- but when you felt the lether it was like carboard- but she wanted hers for schooling so she could keep the other one for best. I'm not sure how it turned out after much oiling as I leaft the yard a few months after she bought it.

yeh that made me chuckle also!!! I agree with lots of people abve, you cant get a decent NEW saddle for that price, it most def will be a cheap knock off made by some unfortunate child in india. If you want a dressage saddle for that price id look for a 2nd hand one on ebay. Or spend a bit more and ask your saddler if they have any 2nd hand ones... then you get to try it and they will help you service/ maintain it!

some one on the yard bought one of these cheap ones off ebay (not sure if it was the same one) the leather was pants and there was no hope in ell that it would ever fit the horse properly, she gave up and tried to resell it... no one would buy so overall a FAB LOSS of £130 or so.

When looking for a saddle I would recommend that you set yourself a budget and then look to spend the MAXIMUM you can afford. Get a proper saddle fitter out to check or reflock/alter air bags if necessary in a 2nd hand saddle.

Just remember that whatever you save now on buying a cheap saddle you will end up paying out tenfold in the form of physios and chiropractors.

Buying a cheap saddle is not a saving in the long term.
