Thank youu! :)

Looking for a long haired, black and red puppy that is probably just going to be a pet. Maybe do a little obedience showing.
I haven't a clue what I'm on about ;) my boyfriend is looking into getting one :)

xx

CC has probably given you a comprehensive list, but I do know of a breeder in North Nottinghamshire who has a bitch in whelp to my Evies brother. He is a very handsome black and tan, low hip score etc.

I may be looking in the wrong place on that website but can see no mention of any breeding stock being hip scored. If this is the case I wouldn't recommend them to the OP.:(

Wouldn't be my cup of tea, purposely breeding non-standard colours, no five gen pedigrees on the website and they seem to be very proud of the fact that their dogs are very big/heavy oversized. German Shepherds are not a giant breed. However each to their own and they do health test and train their dogs which is to be welcomed, of course :)

Wouldn't recommend who SJlover put up, they're known for having litters then rehoming the bitches when they can't have more.

http://www.chalksville.co.uk/ these are in Loughborough, they're who my mum would recommend, they've been in the breed for years and mum knows her through ring craft. Is where I'd go for a pup

They have indeed been in the breed for a long time and carry some of the old English lines, if that's your cup of tea, while it's great that they have now started hip scoring some stock, it would be even better if they did elbows too.

Have you looked at any breeders yet TBG. As you can see from some of the links to breeders there is a huge difference in type between the old english GSDs and the more modern lines. Whichever you decide to go with please make sure that several generations back have low hip scores, ideally low teens and below. If you find any kennels you are interested in if you pm CC (or me) we can hopefully give you a few pointers. Please keep us updated.
