Once an infection has spread away from the original injury site and into the blood stream, you can squirt all the antibiotic solution into the wound that you want and it won't make the blindest bit of difference. You need a systemic antibiotic. I thought that would have been very basic knowledge for someone so clued up.
As the first poster who was asking for advice has not come back and in fact seemed to think she knew better than a vet , I thing it is no need to continue to reply.
