rain is coming !!

where i am forcast is heavy rain from 4 pm wednesday til 10 am thurday !

on the plus side.....perfect grass growing conditions

The BBC weather forecast (for Cambridgeshire) predicts heavy rain from 4pm today until 4am tomorrow morning! My horse isn't rugged at the moment but I'll dash to the field and put his rainsheet on as soon as it starts.

Hmm cheshire gets some light rain at 4pm (just when i plan to ride....) then at 10 tonight it throws it down till about 2am ? somthing like that

My horse is coming in tonight. Stable all ready, I finish work and will be at yard by 4 hopefully it will hold off until then!

North wales - starts light around 5pm and then straight through to 8am next morning with up to 2 inches of rain... Heavy at around 1 in the morning. I'll feel better knowing they are tucked up in bed, like me.

So our boys are spending the night indoors.

Use www.netweather.tv to check. They seem to get it right more than the other sites.

Yep, lots of rain in Somerset today, started around 10 just as the bbc predicted so Harry is in his lightweight. This mix of rain and sun is brill for the grass

I'm very soggy already and I've only been outside 5 miuntes to put rugs on. At least the grass will grow now

My welshie is turned out with no rug but has a cosy shelter with rubber mats and shavings. I don't want the grass to grow- she's already like a balloon even with a grazing muzzle

My two (TB and TB/warmblood) are mostly waterproof! I'll wait until it gets a bit colder before I start with the rugs. Though, thinking about it I might put them in the stable overnight to save the grass.

Been pee'ing it down all day here, at least the grass is getting rain

I just put a waterproof sheet on. It's not that cold but it's going to rain all night and into the morning. We have no shelter/stable and my TB x is a bit underweight.
