How so you manage to get bargains? Today Mr M has I believe exceeded himself.

I need a new body protector. I know my correct size having tried on a friend’s.
I find the one I need and pass iPad to Mr M to pay.
( I know, but since I made an error in the purchase of parcel postage, I ask him to check )
He says
You can get nearly 5% off if you do … whatever it was.
Then
I’ll pay by **** points.

My body protector has cost, in actual ££, less than 20.

I knew there was a good reason I married him all those years ago.

I once got an email from a company whose products I'd bought in the past, giving me a rebate code, something like "XMAS10", to get 10% off.

Guessing that other clients had received better discounts, I tried with different numbers: 50 didn't work, neither did 40, I think it was 30 that worked.

Haha me too, I'm terrible for sitting there at the checkout typing in any possible codes and waiting for the site to accept one. It's surprising how often this strategy does work!

Theres an app called Honey. You can have it on your phone and on chrome. It tries every possible voucher code when you check out. It rarely fails me. You also get points even if there's no voucher and then every now and again you get a £10 voucher for amazon or Starbucks etc

Mr M has this app, unfortunately it hasn’t supplied anything yet.

I always try WELCOME10 or 20 or whatever, or even HELLO10. Works 9 times out of 10.
Also recommend Honey.
I get student discounts if anyone would like to purchase anything, more than happy to look for a code if you PM me.
