Getting a dog!

Not got any pics - but a friend of mine had a lovely whippet. In fact I wanted a whippet when we were planning to get another dog - but OH disagreed so we ended up with a scruffy, hairy, collie x lurcher thingy!

I will go with the whippet people too.......they make fantasitic little pets......I have always had whippets.....even whippetxgreyhounds.

They are very fine boned....so take extra care when hacking with them

Only thing I'd say re: rescue places is that the reputable ones tend not to rehome dogs with people in flats and who aren't home all day. I know because I'm in the same situation (although I have a garden) and I know places like Battersea etc wouldn't rehome with me (not tried, but heard from a number of people).

If you do get a puppy I'd say they're more than likely to go through a somewhat destructive stage if they're left on their for any length of time.......maybe an older dog would be an idea? They never get picked anyway
