This probably sounds so stupid, but I MIGHT be getting a horse vetted in the near future, it depends on how things go.

Anyway when you have a horse vetted do you have your own vet to do this or the horses' owners vet?? What if the horse is around 3 hours from you??
I've never had a horse vetted, can you tell?! lol.

Thanks, Clairex

It's recommened not to use the horses usual vet, just in case they cover up the horses faults. if your own vet charges too much for the distance, find a vet near to the horse who will vet it for you.
hope this helps

Dont use the horses regular vet, find the numbers of about 3 vets in the area, and use one of those. xx

I had a similar problem when I bought a horse a reasonable distance away. I actually had my vet travel & do the vetting. This was however quite expensive as the travel time/fuel etc all went on the bill.

Probably the better way is tio find out who the vet is for the horse you are buying. Don't use them at all. Speak to your own vet & they will give you details of a vet in that location that will do the job for you.
