Hi all
My groom is amazing but he is looking to change jobs and I wanted to ask your advice. He's got his equestrian diploma (he's Moroccan and based in Casablanca but trained with the federation in Rabat at their equestrian college). He is an excellent yard manager, groom and competent rider too. He has a passport but apparently he needs a work visa for employment outside of Morocco. If anyone has any advice or knows of any openings that may be suitable? If he was offered a contract he can then apply for a work visa, so please keep your eyes peeled for any suitable roles for this young man.

Anyone? By the way, this is a true story but today he literally saved my life after my horse bombed off in the forest after two baby camels came cantering over! You can't make this stuff up!! Anyway, I'd like to help him get a good job.

I assume he will attend interviews in Europe if he can find an opening? It would be helpful if he can give an idea how far he is prepared to travel for interviews. Is the US out, for example?

I would suggest trying either Caroline Carter Recruitment, Show Grooms International, or looking at some polo jobs.

SGI and polo jobs both regularly sort visas etc. for people (I have worked internationally and SGI were super helpful with the whole visa process.) Caroline Carter is just fabulous, and what she doesn't know about recruitment in this industry isn't worth knowing!
