Getting a new pony next week!!!

I have been killing myself by keeping this quiet for weeks now, but I'm getting a new pony on Monday!!!!! There are the select few on here who know who it is..... or know of the horse..... so to keep you all entertained next week, I'm gonna post pictures and see who guesses correctly (of course all those who know are not allowed to play!)
But very excited and cant wait till Monday.... then its a week of schooling and the horse has its first dressage test next Saturday!!! Talk about in at the deep end!!!
Now that should keep you all guessing for a while!

I have no idea whatsoever which horse it is. But looking forward to seeing the photos of him or her on here.
 
And I certainly dont do jumping!!!! In fact I dont do a lot these days apart from hacking! Which incidently I am fully enjoying even if said horse thinks that everything is gonna eat him! Its nice to take a step back sometimes and just enjoy your horse!

ETA its definately not grey..... I wouldn't have another grey if I was paid to have it!!!
 
Nope!!!!

So here's a clue.... a piccie of when we arrived home and he was turned out in the field after a five hour drive!
He travelled like an absolute dream, in fact he has to be one of the best horses i've ever had the pleasure of moving!!!

Yes!!! Well spotted Rara!!! He has come to live with Auntie Ovidius long term!!! And what an absolute darling he is..... ok he had other plans when he saw the lorry and decided for the first time in his life to drag his mum across the yard and round the back of the large stack of haylage bales in a hope he could hide!!!! But I appeared with his bridle and after a little coercing he walked up the ramp and then stood there like a lamb.... and that is how he travelled all the way home.... not a peep out of him, in fact we couldn't tell we'd got him on board he was soooooo good
He was a little eager to come off though!!!! think he had had enough after five hours.... and he was a little warm..... so he had a nice shower, was introduced to the boys quickly, said hello to a few liveries and then went straight into the field..... funniest thing was meeting his neighbour.... his neighbour has a full face mask on and he cautiously walked up to him, then did a double take and shot backwards,,,, I could just hear him saying "you dont look right mate, there's something on your head"!!!!! He settled straight away as if he had been there for months....... so lots of updates to come from his new chapter in life and lots of piccies for St Bernard.....

I am so relieved to read this - I read about St B needing vibes on Soapbox and I saw her comments on her facebook profile - I thought something really terrible had happened!

Ah yes well I am a total soft arse when it comes to my horses, but my mum was also back at hospital yesterday, so it was gonna be a very emotional day.

G - You were fab..... I dont know how you held it together, I would have been in bits.... although seeing you disappear around the haylage bales was quite funny!!!
Beau loves Odie, they said hello last night!!! Odie was left wondering who that big horse was on the end of mummy's rope! He settled immediately, was no bother at all and didn't gallop off round the field, just walked and trotted and then got too pre occupied with grass!!! Going up shortly to sort them all out.... will try and take some more piccies.....and report back later!!!

You softie!!!! Bless ya..... I did think you were being very brave!!!

Well this morning he was of the opinion that I really didn't matter and wouldn't let me catch him to start with!!! but after a whole circle of the field, he gave in and came in with me..... then the love affair started!!! now my ginger pony DOES NOT socialise, DOES NOT like other horses and has always been a loner..... well, I was gobsmacked..... they seem to have fallen head over heels in love with each other and there was lots of mutual grooming and kissing going on!!! In fact they were so good together, I turned the ginger one out with him and apart from the initial squeals, they both settled and Beau followed him round the field sticking by his side....
And tonight, well I called Beau, and he actually neighed at me and came trotting up to the gate! Obviously now of the opinion that I do count!!! He came in, was groomed, allowed to dry ( he had his lightweight rug on as its rained here all day) and then he was tacked up and taken into the school..... I led him round first so he could see everything and then hopped on and pootled around for half an hour.... He was also in love with the other horse in the school (I didn't have the heart to tell him, it was him in the mirror!!!) So he was a very good boy.... he then had tea and re rugged and back out into his field..... leaving the ginger one staring over the door wondering where his new big friend has gone.... Will add some piccies in a minute!!
