Thanks for that. I've had a look there but I wondered how tortuous it actually was, the process I mean, and how long it took. I've just had an irish horse DNA tested and the horse board wanted her passport for up to 12 weeks...!
I've only had the ownership details changed on mine and had it updated after grading but I don't remember them having it for very long - maybe 2 weeks at most? They are generally very efficient in all respects.
I did an owner name change on my KWPN 's passport when I bought him. I googled KWPN and rang them-spoke perfect English and explained process&cost exactly and took my payment over phone. Passport (sent recorded deliv etc)came back (recorded deliv) within 3wks I think(faster than they quoted). KWPN are a well-oiled machine and eager to assist
Horseboard always say that but never seem to take that long!! Would be worth ringing them and telling them she is sold abroad somewhere and has to ship out ASAP!!
My sister has just got a replacement passport for her KWPN, it wasn't too hard and took about 3-4 weeks from start to finish. She had to get the vet out to verify the markings etc, then she took loads of photos and sent of some of his mane for DNA testing. It ended up costing over £300 though but its worth it in the end. They all spoke english and kept her up to date with progress.
Amage - the sample is away for DNA testing with Wetherbys in Ireland and when they have matched it I'll forward on her existing passport. Couldn't have no passport for 12 weeks! Was also told there is no rhyme nor reason what colour passport she'll get back - and that was from the horse board in the north!
