My daughter has a six yr old irish cob mare. In the past year her riding has come on fantastically but betty her mare is just not very good at jumping... I am thinking about offering my mare (heavyweight, big bombproof) for a years swap with a been there, done it all, no age limit horse to show her the ropes.
Do you think this sounds reasonable, obv. Both horses would have loan agreements...
Where would be a good place to advertise.

Think a swap might be difficult - just to find someone with exactly what you want and that wants exactly what you have but loan yours out and loan something in - perfectly possible.
I have a 19 Y/o ex 4* eventer, had him 4 years now and I've learned more than I would ever thought possible for a hobby rider. I'd have done even more had I not had 2 pregnancies myself in this time frame - typical I get the horse of a lifetime when it's also time to start a family !!!
