The two puppies are going on slightly longer walks now, something that I am enjoying immensely, and so do they, but other dog walkers are driving me mad now!!

I like to think that i am a good dog owner and extremely polite to anyone I meet but after two days of biting my tongue I might change how I act! I'll recap over these last 2 days.

1. Had two people wanting to buy each dog off me. Although I was complimented, as they are very well behaved, one of the men would not take no for an answer. Just ended up walking out of the shop so I could end the conversion. Bit of talking though found out he was interested in breeding the Whippet I have. She's small for her size and no doubt say something in it, but she's not papered so i have never intended to breed her.

2. Met 40+ walkers, the little Whippet who is still nervous in situations like this panicked, constant nervous yapping and although i pointed it out to them not to approach her as she was nervous, each one had to walk up and stroke her. Whippet was then much more nervous. Cue me walking off again.

3. I was almost run over by a rotti. I have nothing against big dogs like them owned by small women, if they can control them. She couldn't. It wasn't nasty just too excited. Not impressed with her saying sorry by " he's just young ". Mine are but they have manners.

4. Had a stand off with a westie. I am always putting mine back on the lead as you just don't know what the other dog is like. We met a young owner with a westie off the lead, which then circled mine yapping constantly. Man stood 10th meters off shouting its name, to which I then got a mucky look from him cow his dog would not come. Meh some people.

5. Had a jogger come up silently, didn't know he was there and then got annoyed that the dogs was in his path. Again would have called them over if I had had a quick shout. Ah well.

Been eventful but both pups have behaved and have done nothing wrong so can't complain just wish others would train there dogs as well.

Thanks for listening to my rant, all I have is toast.

This brings back memories was out walking mine, my dads and my brothers dogs so had quite a pack (2x Labs, a ESS and a JRT). Westie comes over (all off lead and no problem), owner calls, Westie won't go back, so I tell mine to sit.....we wait and wait and wait.......finally Westie owner comes over, gets dog and puts it on a lead We walk off in opposite directions. Westie owner lets hers off again (when they were about 10yrds away), and Westie promptly joins my pack AGAIN. As Westie owner is again just standing and hollering at her dog, I think bollox to waiting again, so keep walking on. LMAO you would have thought I was a dog knapper the looks I got, when she finally caught up to collect her bloody dog (I had actually stopped again at this point as her hollering was disturbing my walk).:D

I woudl learn not to get stressed as you being stressed/annoyed on walks is going to upset the dogs, life is what it is, just continue with your walk and ignore other things.

Aye just got to learn to forget it and keeping going. The pups haven't put a paw wrong though so that's been something to take away from it all :)
