Getting back a loan pony when loanee not answering/returning calls

You need to be a bit clever about this too...leave off ringing the woman for now and under no circumstances mention you are coming to get the pony...do not give her the chance to panic and move it again. Get an OS map of the village and mark all the roads on it and go down them one by one and cross off once scoured all fields and yards. I would take the trailer hitched up and rope a friend in with a car so you are not trawling around with the trailer drawing attention to yourselves...park it somewhere and get out in another vehicle. Be careful who you speak to in case they blab that you are in the area and yes...take some bolt croppers and the ponies passpiort as evidence in case you are stopped. Oh my god, you poor soul! Hitch up your trailer and go pick up your pony as soon as you can! I've heard of situations like this before and its not a nice one to be in!
