Getting back into it.

Hello all!

I've gotten back to riding after a 25 year break, and I've been lurking around reading your posts.
It started when I was looking for ideas for new gear, and now I'm hooked. And now I have a new pair of boots, and another pair I want to order, and I really need to stop shopping!
I'm taking lessons once or twice a week and I love it just as much as I remember. I'm having a couple of weeks off riding with a miserable dental thing and I'm enjoying getting to read all your stories.

Thank you for the welcome. I would very much love to own my own horse one day. I'm very happy at the moment going a couple of times a week, each lesson it feels like I remember something that I'd forgotten, I'd forgotten how much I love just being around horses. I love riding but I think at the moment I'm enjoying before and after when I can have some time with the horse getting to know each other.

Welcome Henkie! I've been back at it for about 2ish years and I now have a lovely share cob! You'll wonder why you stayed away so long. Hope you feel better soon and stick around on these boards, lots of good advice to be had!

I ride three times a week at a riding school and like you I treasure the time off ‘my’ horse as much as the time when I am riding him. He loves being groomed and massaged, I love just being alone with him
