I keep my horses in a paddock behind the owners house. Access is up their driveway and through their garden.

5 or 6 weeks ago they had a house fire and have had to move out. The house is being completely gutted and there is a large skip on the driveway. This means I can't get the horses out or large hay/haylage bales in so as well as not being able to ride it is costing me a small fortune in small bales.

The work is going to go on for several more weeks and there is nowhere else for the skip to go but I am seriously getting fed up now.

Summer will be over by the time I can ride again at this rate :(

Blimey, not good :(

What happens *I'll whisper* if you need to get one of the horses out in an emergency?
I wouldn't be happy about that, let alone the no riding.

I had wondered about that myself quirky. I suppose in an emergency we could take down fencing and chop the hedge out and get out through a field, although not sure a 'removal vehicle' would cope on the field next to the paddock or that the farmer would allow it if crops are in.
