As you may know I have 2 horses both at different yards until the end of the month.
My gelding has just come sound after having about 8 weeks off, rode him last saturday, bit on his toes and bucking. Turned him out and he double barrelled me in the chest so no riding on sunday :-( .
Started a new job on Monday so haven't been able to see him all week to ride, as mum finished work before me so went to sort him out.
Fingers crossed I get to ride him today.
My mare came on 1st June with 3 shoes on, got my farrier out a week later (earliest he could do) who took the remaining back shoe off to balance her up until he can come to put a full set on. I've ridden her once since I've had her. She lost another shoe last week and is now lame :-( farrier coming on Monday. So all week I've not been able to ride her. Not a problem as she is a quiet tb.
Anyway what I think I'm getting at is I have 2 horses that I've not been able to ride properly for ages. Roll on the end of the month when I can ride after work! Fingers crossed they will both be sound.
I have biscuits and tea for anyone who gets this far.

Hope your horses come sound. I reckon you've had your share of bad luck this week. Must be so annoying to be paying out for two and still not be able to ride. Why did the gelding kick you? I guess you're ok if you still went to work after.
