Getting Priorities Straight.....

Stimpy - I just bought a house with a 5% deposit and had no problem getting a mortgage at all and the interest rate wasn't bad either. If you want the number of the guy who sorted it all out for me send me a PM, he is totally free to use he makes his money from the mortgage company.

PS keep the horse

Stimpy, I think that you have just summed up one of the main differences between the various posters on the forum. Some people like to live, breathe and sleep horses but, others, although they love their horses and spending time riding and being around them, also feel the need to hold down the best job they can find and spend time with their family or on other interests too.

I will never be completely immersed in horses like those who compete every weekend but I don't feel any less worthy for it. I have my horse because I enjoy riding but I don't have time to care for him full time since I own my own business and I don't just work full time, I work full time and then some! I also have a daughter with whom I want to spend time and I also want to walk my dog and spend time with my other pets. Everyone sets their own priorities and, unless a horse or child is being neglected as a result of misplaced priorities then it is entirely up to the individual. So, don't feel guilty whatever decision you come to - it is the right decision for you and that is all that matters!
