Needing help. Any ideas or top tips on how to get a mane looking good by pulling ect. Just been to a BSJA show where some of the horses manes looked beautiful. Mines never look like that. Had a look at my mares and she has a kink in it which makes it hard to get an even look. I have often thought horse straightners would be great. Any advice.

Quickbraid, great for plaiting but also great for training a mane!!

Just be grateful she has a mane...most of the bottom half of Forrest's has gone after a winter of full neck rugs

If she'll put up with a lycra hood, they are fab for flattening manes and they'll prevent any further mane rubbing while it grows out.

Spritz with quickbraid before you put the hood on and the mane should stay straight

There's some stuff called Megatek from Tail Gator that helps manes grow back, but it's a slow process.

If you're really desperate, Americans (cue lots of Anti-American outrage!) do use gas powered hair straighteners on their horse's manes but you have to have a very quiet horse, be very careful and be certain there's no-one smoking anywhere near. It also works best on short manes.
