Getting Started

Im looking for a couple of local shows in my area for Jumping and XC.
But the problem is,ive never been to a roper show before, so could anybody help me on where to find them,entering and suchlike?

The Riding Diary website is good for finding shows.

I always go and enter while my mum gets the horses off the box and ties them up with haynets, also find out approx how long it will be untill your in. Warm up with plenty of time but dont sit on your horse allday if poss (well i dont with mine anyway as they become to eager otherwise, so i put them at the box between classes depending on time)
