I need to get a martingale attachment for a breastplate i have, i'm not sure what colour it is maybe american nut or something similar. But anyway i'd like to get one made, but not sure where to go?

Failing that can anyone suggest where i could buy one from? This is the breastplate...

Thanks in advance!

Saddlery repairs .co.uk do made to measure tack at extremely reasonable prices all from English leather so give them a ring I am sure they will be able to help

I had a hackamore made by a firm called Plas Equestrian in Wales some years ago. It is beautiful. But I guess if you are having a breastplate altered, as opposed to hving a new one, the saddler is maybe going to have a bit of trouble matching the leather, especially if you've had the breastplate a long time?

I'm sure your local saddler could help as they often make tack up too - it would help to be able to see the tack in person so the correct colour could be judged - there are so many shades of brown that it would be virtually impossible to match up otherwise. It really shouldn't cost much either as it won't take much leather and isn't a particularly fiddly thing to make.
Oh, just noticed your north cotswolds - Mike Norton at Saddle Doctors in Oxon will make things up, Maurice Emtage will (though specify quality of leather to be used) and Stroud Saddlery make up some stunning things too.

I had my Saddle, bridle, stud guard made by pennwood saddlery!! He come out to me i found him at HOYS!!

Its lovley but i dont have a horse that it fits now cause Tom was PTS at the end of september!! :'(
