Competed yesterday in unseasonably warm temperature (21 degrees in October!) with a brand new PE white saddlecloth and horse obviously sweated up. When untacking was very disappointed to see that my previously sparkling saddlecloth had been stained black by my saddle. Any tips on how to get it properly white again, or should I send it to the rug-cleaner for professional cleaning?

How much black are you talking about? I've never had a particular problem with dye coming off a saddle except minorly. I presume the marks are under the saddle and therefore not visible when it is on, so I would just wash as usual. I don't think I've ever had a white saddle cloth which didn't acquire a few marks from the saddle but as they are hidden I don't worry about it.

Easy as, soak in very hot water with napisan for 24 hours then wash in machine at 60 degrees. Works for me.
Just reporting back to say this worked a treat and saddlecloth has come out the machine looking as new! Thanks very much!
