Has any one used a gfs premier dressage saddle what’s your opinion on it and how do you like it. It looks beautiful but it’s a lot cheaper than others like it so I am abit apprehensive as to why it’s cheaper

I had an ancient GFS dressage saddle years ago I loved it and it fitted quite a few horses and although old it still looked good and was decent quality, I also had a gp event GFS as well which was ok, I have no idea if they are made the same today though I know they used to be called GFS Fieldhouse so don't know if that's now changed as well.

They are made in Argentina, not an issue in itself, the country makes some great saddles, but at £1600 ish for a monoflap it's not likely to be the best quality leather. We all have our limits on what we can spend but of course the only thing that really matters is what fits your horse.

Saddles have been made in many countries for a long time, some very big brands are made in the far east, and many in the industry swear that many "British made" less expensive saddles are made abroad but do JUST enough in this country to stamp them as British. Argentina would be on a par with some European saddles.
