Saddle fitter has suggested a couple of brands for my horse and I've never come across this GFS range before.

Anybody own or ridden in one?

Thanks.

I have a GFS transition GP. Bought new about a month ago.

My saddle journey has been mighty! I love it. Can't say that it is particularly beautifully made for the money. Compared to my cob's custom made Andrea Hicks saddle. However my horse used to attack me when I tacked her up and I always got sore riding. Both of us are now comfy and happy.

That's good to hear. Yes saddle fitting is certainly a journey, you could say that! I've come away from Native types now, but can remember well how awkward to fit they can be!

I've got 2 Monarchs sat at home, and I must say, the leather quality and workmanship is nowhere near as good in the newer Monarch.

When the saddler produced it I was a bit surprised as I thought Monarch was "GFS Monarch". She said they now have two ranges

For me the tree felt different to the monarch.
I am not sure if they are great quality. I bought new out of desperation. (My mare was putting me on an interesting weight loss programme by removing pieces of me!! ). She loves it. Is a transformed creature. She even wooffles the saddle when I bring it in. She used to attack the others. ?.

I have really struggled with saddle fit for me. I find it really comfy. I am clearly a weird shape. I have every seat saver known to man but haven't even considered putting one on this saddle.
