GH Thoroughbred calmer

I use it for my anglo and he has done really well on it. You need to front load in the beginning, which seems like an awful lot of powder and some horses can go a bit loopy at this stage but mine didnt.

Tried loads of them when I was bringing him back into work (for the 3rd time) and he was being a nightmare. None of them made the slightest bit of difference - particularly the magnesium based ones.

I wasnt sure if there was a difference (thought he has calmed down due to the increased work load) until I took him off the calmer for a week and he turned back into a spooking nightmare. Now he is on maintenance level and goes about in the winds and it is much easier schooling him as he doesnt get distracted by outside noises etc. He is still as sharp as ever though!

But as most people will say, it really is a case of trial and error to see what will work with your horse.

Its brilliant. My horse has only been on it 2 weks and went out and qualified for BRC champs did 2 super tests. Totally relaxed yet awake. Only has 1 scope in morning and 1 at night with double one night before a show and double in morning of show. You will need to play around with the dose to get what suits your horse.
